Issues
Education
I have a terminal degree in my field, and I have seen first hand the impact of education on thousands of people. Therefore, I value education a lot. My main goal in education is to bring the high school graduation rate higher than it currently is and see how more kids can go to college. Schools in more impoverished communities are already deprived of many things. Why deprive them of the proper education. Education saves lives.
Housing
I want this district to have better, safer, and cheaper housing options. Though part of the community has suitable housing, they're also costly. NYC is among the most expensive place to live in the nation. This needs to change. Most public housing residents complain about not controlling the temperature in their apartments, sometimes not receiving hot water, not having a functioning elevator when the building has more than three floors. Imagine going home after a long day at work and not being able to stay at a proper
Healthcare
The whole district has one subpar hospital, which is St. John's Episcopal Hospital. We need to improve the healthcare system in the district. We also need to make sure that the population gets good health insurance. Once more people have health insurance, we can advocate for preventive medicine. No better way to treat illnesses than not to get them at all.
Police Reform
I see a city where police officers are held accountable for their actions at all times. There has to be a more straightforward pathway for civilians to complain about police actions, especially when they're deemed racist and abusive. But I also see a city where criminals are punished for their crimes. I want NYC to be one of the safest major cities in the US.
Small Business
With the fall of big businesses, many experts predict that small businesses could rise. We need to help them because that would allow the district's economy and make it more independent. Small businesses can create community involvement and identity, local jobs, and an increased tax base.
Recreation
Other than a few parks that people can only use in the summer, this district screams for entertainment centers. The whole district has 0 movie theater, 0 concert hall, and 0 safe attractions for kids and our youth. This needs to change.
Covid-19 Relief
The city just went through some of its worst times because of Covid-19. The pandemic shows all the problems that there are in the healthcare system. Thousand of people lost their jobs. Kids unable to attend schools remotely because we're not technology sufficient. People living in more impoverished communities cannot stay indoors because of the conditions they live in. We need to address those communities head-on. I will be that champion at City Hall that will fight to give our community a break.

- We have to consider other factors when funding our schools and not just the number of students.
- We need better after-school programs, both in-person and remotely. We can't expect our workers to give their best when they are worried about their kids at home not getting the proper education, care, and nutrition.
- Every school and student has to become technology savvy and equipped.
- Schools need to develop mentorship programs with successful alumni to mentor and inspire kids' next generation.

- NYCHA needs to be held accountable when they're not providing basic housing needs to their tenants.
- When building new public housing, why not hire a percentage of people from the community.

- Develop a stronger bond between officers and civilians. Because of past actions, most civilians, mostly in black and brown communities, don't trust the police anymore.
- At least 25% of police officers serving in a community have to be residents of that community. Because the more officers we have serving their communities, the more they will care about it and its people. That would also mean that they would be trusted more by the community.
- Have special police at schools, from schools, and social service areas. Meaning police officers at a school should have a background in education, police officers at a mental institution should have a background in psychology, and the list goes on.

- Small businesses have been impacted by this pandemic the most. NYC needs to have loans available for them as a relief.
- Why not have a small business week in the community where we invite people to shop small. And I am not talking about Small business Saturday. I am talking about a week in the summer that can be turned into a fair, and we can invite a celebrity to come out and shop as well. That would create another motive for the residents to come out.
